# Clipping campaigns: how clippers get paid

A clipping campaign pays you per view to post short clips of someone's long video on your own accounts. On November 4, 2026, the median open campaign paid $1 per 1,000 views, with a minimum near 1,900 views a clip and a cap of $200 a clip, across 860 campaigns tracked by Clipper Hub. Many clippers earn little, so read the rules and the budget before you cut anything.

BlitzReels sells a clipping tool and has no partnership with Content Rewards, Vyro or Whop. Payouts follow each platform's and campaign's rules, and nothing here promises earnings.

## How to start clipping

You start clipping by joining a campaign, reading its brief, and posting clips from your own accounts.

1. Set up accounts you can post from. Campaigns pay for posts on your own TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or X accounts. Check the age limit too: [Content Rewards requires you to be 18](https://contentrewards.com/terms). On Content Rewards, [Instagram must be a Business account](https://help.contentrewards.com/en/articles/16746780-connect-your-social-accounts).
2. Pick a campaign and read the brief. Check the rate, the minimum, the cap, the budget left, the platforms and any audience rule. Some campaigns [let you in straight away and others ask you to apply](https://help.contentrewards.com/en/articles/16817237-find-and-apply-to-a-campaign).
3. Use only the footage the campaign allows. Vyro keeps it in a folder on the brief and says [using other content may get your clips rejected](https://vyro.com/help/getting-started/where-can-i-find-content-to-clip).
4. Cut the clip to the brief. One live campaign asked for [15 to 45 second vertical clips, clean captions and no third-party watermarks](https://contentrewards.com/discover/1ad46b18-369e-421f-8ca3-77132f574730).
5. Put the ad disclosure at the start. Content Rewards makes this [your responsibility](https://contentrewards.com/terms), and a missing disclosure can cost you the payment.
6. Submit the link right after posting. Content Rewards requires it [within 30 minutes of posting](https://help.contentrewards.com/en/articles/15319814-submit-a-video). Vyro [counts earnings from the moment you submit](https://vyro.com/help/clips-and-content).
7. Wait for review, then cash out. Only approved clips get paid, and each platform has its own hold and withdrawal rules.

## What clipping campaigns pay

Most clipping campaigns pay between $0.50 and $2 per 1,000 views. [Clipper Hub](https://clipperhub.co/en/data.html) puts 64% of campaigns with a published rate between $0.50 and $1.99. At its $1 median, a 10,000-view clip earns $10 before fees. We read these trackers' figures and did not audit them.

Campaign figures published on November 4, 2026:

| Measure | Figure | Source |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Median rate, all open campaigns | $1 per 1,000 views | [Clipper Hub](https://clipperhub.co/en/data.html) |
| Median rate, clipping campaigns only | $1.25 per 1,000 views, across 583 campaigns | [Clipping Alpha](https://clippingalpha.com/learn/how-much-do-clippers-make) |
| Median minimum before a clip earns | 1,938 views | [Clipper Hub](https://clipperhub.co/en/data.html) |
| Median cap per clip | $200 | [Clipper Hub](https://clipperhub.co/en/data.html) |
| Budget left per clipper, median campaign | $98 | [Clipper Hub](https://clipperhub.co/en/data.html) |

Many clippers earn little. [Does It Pay](https://doesitpay.org/content-clipping/research/) estimates that a newcomer posting 30 clips a month on low-minimum campaigns earns roughly $20 to $55 after fees. Our [guide to clipping](https://blitzreels.com/clippers/what-is-clipping) has the full numbers, including what the top earners report.

## Where to find clipping campaigns

Most public campaigns sit on marketplaces, and Content Rewards is the largest by Clipper Hub's count, with [80% of open campaigns](https://clipperhub.co/en/data.html). BlitzReels has no partnership with any company in this table.

Where campaigns are listed, as read on November 4, 2026:

| Where | Rates seen | Fee on you | Cash out |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Content Rewards](https://blitzreels.com/clippers/content-rewards) | [$0.50 to $5 per 1,000 views](https://contentrewards.com/c/discover) on its public lists | [10% of payouts](https://help.contentrewards.com/en/articles/15319790-how-content-rewards-works), or none on per-post and retainer campaigns with budgets of $5,000 or more | [From $1](https://help.contentrewards.com/en/articles/16817239-withdraw-your-earnings), then through Whop |
| Vyro | [$1.50 to $2 per 1,000 views](https://www.vyro.com/) on the four campaigns on its home page | Not stated on the pages we read | [From $10, once a week](https://www.vyro.com/), by Stripe or PayPal |
| Agencies and direct programs | $0.30 to $1.50 per 1,000 views, [Bloomberg's range, quoted by a Forbes contributor](https://www.forbes.com/sites/boazsobrado/2026/04/26/the-creator-of-clipping-who-powers-stakes-viral-machine/) | Varies | Varies |

Vyro says it is [trusted by MrBeast and Mark Rober](https://www.vyro.com/), and that is its own claim. "Whop clipping" is mostly an older name for Content Rewards, which [our Content Rewards guide](https://blitzreels.com/clippers/content-rewards) explains.

## Why clipping campaigns reject clips

Clips are usually rejected for breaking the brief, and a rejected clip earns nothing.

- The brief wasn't followed. Content Rewards lists the [wrong platform, missing tags or disclosure, reused content, and editing or deleting the post](https://contentrewards.com/creators).
- The footage came from somewhere else. Vyro asks you to use only the [assets on the brief](https://vyro.com/help/getting-started/where-can-i-find-content-to-clip).
- The clip belongs to someone else. One brief says [reposting another person's clip gets rejected](https://contentrewards.com/discover/1ad46b18-369e-421f-8ca3-77132f574730), and Vyro [flags copied content](https://vyro.com/help/clips-and-content).
- The audio or subtitles are in the wrong language. Vyro says [non-English clips are usually not approved](https://vyro.com/help/clips-and-content) unless the brief says otherwise.
- A watermark shows. Brands can make a watermark rule part of the brief, and [the requirements step includes a logo or watermark option](https://help.contentrewards.com/en/articles/15319807-write-a-brief-creators-will-follow).
- The views look bought. Vyro [doesn't allow paid promotion](https://vyro.com/help/clips-and-content), and Content Rewards [bans artificial views](https://contentrewards.com/terms) and pauses payouts on flagged clips.

## What BlitzReels does for clippers

Real BlitzReels exports:

- https://blitzreels.com/videos/landing/creators-20260913/denis-retirement.mp4

BlitzReels turns a long video you're allowed to clip into vertical clips with captions. It doesn't find campaigns, count your views or pay you. Those parts belong to the campaign and its platform.

What clippers ask about BlitzReels:

| Question | Answer |
| --- | --- |
| Is there a watermark? | Paid plans export without one. Trial exports are 720p and carry a watermark, so don't submit them to a campaign that bans watermarks. |
| Does it make 9:16 clips? | Yes. Clips are framed vertically with the speaker centered, and you can adjust the framing in the editor. |
| Are captions included? | Yes. Captions come from the video's transcript, and you can change the words and the style. |
| Do YouTube links work? | Yes, a link to one video: watch pages, youtu.be, Shorts, live and embed links. Channel links and playlist links without a video don't. If a campaign gives you a folder of footage, upload the file from that folder. |
| Which videos can I use? | Videos you're allowed to clip: your own, footage a campaign supplies for its brief, or videos whose owner gave you permission. |
| Can it post for me? | Post to YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn from Starter; schedule from Growth. Instagram access is allowlisted. |

A clip costs about $1.04 on monthly Starter when you work from a link. That comes from a worked example: a 60-minute source and 10 one-minute clips. A link uses 1 credit per source minute, an upload uses 0.5, and exports use 3 credits per started minute. That adds up to 90 credits from a link or 60 from an upload. Clip counts vary by video, so your cost per clip will move.

Cost per clip, worked from 10 one-minute clips out of a 60-minute source:

| Plan | Price | Credits | From a link | From an upload |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Starter | $29 a month | 250 | $1.04 | $0.70 |
| Starter, yearly | $17 a month, billed yearly | 250 | $0.61 | $0.41 |
| Growth | $79 a month | 750 | $0.95 | $0.63 |
| Growth, yearly | $47 a month, billed yearly | 750 | $0.56 | $0.38 |

At $1 per 1,000 views after a 10% fee, a $1.04 clip needs about 1,160 paid views to cover its credits. That's arithmetic, and it leaves out your time. Many clips never reach a campaign's minimum, as the [Does It Pay estimates](https://doesitpay.org/content-clipping/research/) show.

The trial runs 7 days with no card: one import up to 60 source minutes, 3 clips, 3 720p exports with a watermark and 10 AI credits. After that you need a paid plan, because there is no free plan.

BlitzReels is the wrong pick if you want the lowest cost. Cutting clips by hand in a free editor uses no credits, and BlitzReels costs more than some rival clipping tools. It also has no desktop app or dubbing. [Compare clipping tools](https://blitzreels.com/best/video-clipping-tools) before you pay for one.

## What we couldn't verify

- We did not join a campaign, submit a clip or receive a payout on any platform here. Platform facts come from their own pages.
- Clipper Hub and Clipping Alpha publish figures from campaign listings. We did not audit them, and they measure different sets of campaigns.
- Vyro's fee on clippers wasn't stated on the pages we read.
- We found no audited figure for what a typical clipper earns. The newcomer numbers are Does It Pay's estimates.

## FAQ

### How much do clippers make?

Most clippers make little and a few report thousands a month. Does It Pay estimates roughly $20 to $55 a month for a newcomer posting 30 clips on low-minimum campaigns. NPR reported one 19-year-old saying he makes around $4,000 a month. No audited average exists that we could find.

### How do I start clipping with no followers?

Connect a public account and join an open campaign. Some campaigns also set audience rules, such as a share of viewers in certain countries, so check the brief first. A small account usually gets few views: a study cited by Does It Pay put new YouTube channels' typical Short at about 1,300 views after 30 days.

### Are there clipper jobs with a fixed wage?

Most clipping work pays per view, so it runs closer to freelancing than a job. Retainer campaigns on Content Rewards pay a set amount each cycle for agreed posts. Searches for clipper jobs also return LA Clippers and other unrelated roles, so add the word video to your search.

### Does it cost money to start clipping?

Content Rewards charges no subscription or listing fee, and takes its fee from what you earn. Your costs are your time and any editing tool you choose. Free editors cost nothing, and BlitzReels needs a paid plan after its trial.

### Can I clip any video I find?

No. Clip videos you're allowed to clip: your own, footage a campaign supplies for its brief, or videos whose owner gave you permission. Having a link doesn't give you that permission.
