Turn a recording shared through Google Drive into your next clip. Import a shared file link for transcription and short-video suggestions.

## Start where your recording already lives

Your next clip may be sitting in a shared Drive file that hasn’t been published anywhere. We added import for public Google Drive files and files shared by link, bringing them into the media library for transcription and short-clip suggestions.

We worked on Drive import because handing over footage often happens before anyone has decided what to publish. Letting that shared file become the source in BlitzReels keeps the handoff close to the editing work, without requiring a public video upload somewhere else first.

## Skip the download and upload

A team can work from the shared link without downloading the recording and uploading it again, and importing the same link reuses the existing asset. This supports individual shared files; private Drive access and automatic folder syncing aren’t included.

For the person receiving the footage, the useful next step is to work on the recording rather than move it between storage locations. The accessible file enters the same transcription and clip-suggestion flow, and the existing asset can be reused when that same link comes around again.
