Framing, captions, and detailed adjustments come together in one editor, with controls that follow what you select on the canvas.

## Keep editing in the same place

We removed the separate simple mode and brought the work into one shared editor. Framing and caption controls sit in the same properties area, so a quick adjustment and a more detailed edit can happen in the same workspace.

An edit can start with one quick change and become more detailed as you watch it back. We worked on unifying the editor so that moving further into a project wouldn’t also mean learning another mode or searching for a different place to make the next adjustment.

## Controls closer to the thing you’re changing

Caption actions, word styling, crop controls, and other canvas tools moved toward a docked toolbar tied to your selection. The August editor work gives those controls a more consistent home and reduces the scattered floating tools around the video.

For the person editing, selecting an object becomes a more consistent way to find the actions related to it. You can keep your attention on the video while moving between a caption, a word style, and the crop, with the detailed tools in the same working space.
