## When the words are already in the picture

Text baked into a video can’t be edited like a caption layer. We added a scan-and-review tool that finds text regions in the image and lets you choose the areas to remove before processing the video.

Reusing existing footage sometimes means working with a title or label that belongs to an earlier edit. Because those words are already pixels in the recording, they need a different treatment from editable text, and a review step matters before changing the picture underneath them.

## Choose what goes, then check the result

You review the detected areas, so the tool doesn’t automatically remove every word it finds. We widened access beyond the initial account allowlist in July; results still depend on the scene, so give the processed video a look before exporting.

For a new edit, this gives you a way to prepare the source without treating all the text on screen as unwanted. Choosing the regions first lets you focus on the words you mean to remove, then judge whether the processed scene is suitable for the video you’re making.
