# Terms of Service

## 1. Service Provider
BlitzReels is operated by Virgile Rietsch (auto-entrepreneur), registered in France. The service provides video editing tools, automatic transcription, caption generation using AI, and video rendering for creators producing short-form video content.

## 2. Your Account
You're responsible for your account security and all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use our service.

## 3. Payment Terms
Paid subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are billed by Apple. Web subscriptions are billed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled with the provider used for the purchase. Manage or cancel an Apple subscription in your App Store account settings; cancel a web subscription in BlitzReels billing settings. Deleting your BlitzReels account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases under its refund policy; contact us for web purchase refund requests. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

## 4. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload. You may only upload or import media you own or have permission to use, including any person's likeness or voice, and you must comply with the source platform's terms. You may only ask us to scan public pages you control or are authorized to scan. By using our service, you grant us a license to process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

**AI-Generated Content:** Captions, images, voice generation, and other features are enhanced using AI. You're responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before use. AI-generated content may not be perfect and should be verified for accuracy.

## 5. Usage Limits & AI Credits
Your subscription plan determines your usage limits:
- **Projects:** Maximum number of active projects
- **Storage:** Maximum total storage for uploaded media
- **AI Credits:** Monthly allocation for AI-powered features (transcription, image generation, voice generation, exports)

AI credits reset monthly on your billing date. Unused credits do not roll over. BlitzReels does not currently sell separate credit packs in the iOS app. Exceeding your plan limits may result in restricted access until you upgrade or wait for your next billing cycle.

## 6. Acceptable Use
Don't use our service for illegal activities, to violate others' rights, or to distribute harmful content. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

## 7. Privacy & Data
We use cookies on the website and secure credentials in the mobile app for authentication. PostHog and DataFast collect product and acquisition analytics, and Expo Observe collects mobile diagnostics and performance data. Your personal data is handled according to our [Privacy Policy](/privacy).

## 8. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We're not liable for any losses from service unavailability.

## 9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months. We're not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

## 10. Termination
You can close your account anytime. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service stops immediately and your content will be deleted after 30 days.

## 11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We'll notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

## 12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of France and the European Union. Any disputes will be resolved through the competent courts of France.
